Mayor Bowser to Announce 100 Internship Opportunities as Part of ‘Boys and Men of Color Initiative’

(Washington, DC) – Continuing on the Pathways to the Middle Class Tour, Mayor Muriel Bowser will announce a new partnership to support the District’s Boys and Men of Color Initiative (BMOC) on Tuesday, March 31 at DC Chamber 2015 Economic Policy Forum: Connecting the Capital.

A partnership between the DC Chamber of Commerce, Enlightened Inc., and the DC Trust will support one-year internships with host businesses and organizations for 100 participants of the Audacity of Hope Challenge, a program of the District’s Boys and Men of Color Initiative. 

This event is part of Mayor Bowser’s Pathways to the Middle Class Tour, a week-long effort leading up to the March 31 State of the District Address to highlight ways the Administration is helping to create Pathways to the Middle Class for DC residents.
