Join us virtually on June 11 for an Age-Friendly DC update!
Washington, DC has been cited as a leading jurisdiction in the implementation of age friendly practices, thanks to your participation in earlier listening sessions and completion of surveys sharing your concerns.
The Age-Friendly DC 2024-2028 Strategic Plan builds on the success of the prior five-year plan to transform DC into an easier city in which to live, learn, work, and play. At our June 11 meeting, you will be able to hear Task Force members, appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser, discuss the new plan. You may also ask questions or make comments at the end of the meeting. Join Age-Friendly Task Force co-chairs Wayne Turnage, DC Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services, and James Appleby, CEO of the Gerontological Society of America, at this informative online program.
