The Department on Disability Services, Developmental Disabilities Administration is hosting a community forum to discuss our plans to issue and implement a new policy and procedure that governs how DDA would require people who receive residential services funded through the Home and Community Based Services Waiver for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to contribute to the costs of their supports and services, if they could afford to do so. DDA also must implement the Budget Support Act, which requires that people who receive supports become Medicaid eligible and maintain Medicaid eligibility, if they are able to do so. We will discuss our plans and would like to hear your thoughts. Please come prepared with questions and ideas.
The community forum will take place on Thursday, October 10th at 4:00 PM at DDS, 1125 15th Street, NW, Room 1A, Washington, D.C. Please RSVP and send any requests for accommodations to Jestina Heroe at [email protected] or (202) 730-1586.
